The False Teacher

"But there were also false prophets among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you. They will secretly introduce destructive heresies, even denying the sovereign Lord who bought them - bringing swift destruction on themselves. Many will follow their shameful ways and will bring the way of truth into disrepute. In their greed these teachers will exploit you with stories they have made up. Their condemnation has long been hanging over them, and their destruction has not been sleeping."

2 Peter 2:1-3

"They will be paid back with harm for the harm they have done. Their idea of pleasure is to carouse in broad daylight. They are blots and blemishes, reveling in their pleasures while they feast with you. With eyes full of adultery, they never stop sinning; they seduce the unstable; they are experts in greed - an accursed brood!"

2 Peter 2: 13-14

"For they mouth empty, boastful words and, by appealing to the lustful desires of sinful human nature, they entice people who are just escaping from those who live in error. They promise them freedom, while they themselves are slaves of depravity - for a man is a slave to whatever has mastered him. If they have escaped the corruption of the world by knowing our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and are again entangled in it and overcome, they are worse off for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than to have known it and then to turn their backs on the sacred command that was passed on to them."

2 Peter 2: 18-21



Chapter 2 of the book 2 Peter is just....wow. It was like the biography of this character was just right there. I thought it was an amazing miracle that there would be a chapter in the Bible that perfectly described Shader, one of the villains in my manga, Final War. Shader is a false teacher, and as to what a false teacher is, please read above. Basically, it is someone that seems wise and good, but he or she teaches someone terrible things and that these terrible things are the right thing to do.

Shader is an insane, demon-possessed man who, actually, really enjoys the possession. Despite being a "beacon of light", as he is known amongst his followers, he uses Christianity for his own disgusting purposes, such as getting rid of people he doesn't like and making himself richer. Avoid these people that use Christianity as a tool, for they are vile.

P.S: "If they have escaped the corruption of the world by knowing our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and are again entangled in it and overcome, they are worse off for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than to have known it and then to turn their backs on the sacred command that was passed on to them."

To some people, Peter may sound like he's saying that if you know Christ but sin, then you are worse off then you once were, but none of us are perfect. We do know who Jesus Christ is, how much love He has for us, we worship Him, and we know that sinning is terrible and that we ask forgiveness for our sins and try not to sin. I think that Peter is talking of people who want to and do turn their back on God and would much rather favor what they know is sin for the rest of their life. I'm not a Bible expert, so do not put all of your trust into ME.
